Challenges

Frame and architrave are only a few pixels apart at typical listing resolution.
Mitred corners need a clean diagonal cut rather than a squared-off approximation.
Open doors show the frame rebate, which belongs to a different class than the face.
White-on-white schemes give almost no contrast between leaf, frame and wall.
Angled views compress the far side of the frame to a sliver.
Skirting runs behind furniture and reappears, which breaks the mask into fragments.

Project overview

Interior doors were segmented into the four components a decorator would treat separately: the leaf itself, the frame it hangs in, the architrave around the opening and the skirting that runs into it.

The classes are narrow, often only a few pixels wide where a frame meets a wall, and they meet each other at mitred joints that have to be cut correctly for the result to look right when a single component is recoloured.
